Public Consultation Sessions
The City of Charlottetown is developing a Community Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan and is seeking ideas from the public on what content should be in the plan and how the City can further reduce emissions.
Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), are the main cause of climate change. Charlottetown has committed to developing a plan to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and do our part to help PEI, and Canada become a leader in clean growth. The transition toward a more sustainable future is already in motion, but we want your input on what a more sustainable and energy efficient future looks like for Charlottetown, and how we can get there. A Public Consultation Session will be held at the Charlottetown Public Library on Monday, January 22nd with drop-ins welcome between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; or the public can pre-register for the evening consultation session, which runs from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. (light supper will be provided). There will be a brief presentation, opportunities for feedback, and time to mingle and talk to City staff who are working on the reduction plan.
The storm date for the drop-ins and the evening session is Monday, February 5.
